Can products of different categories displayed in the related products section?

Yes, different categories products can be displayed in the related products section. Suppose, there is a product “remote controlled car” in your e-commerce store. So, when the proceeds to buy this particular product, you can recommend your customer to also buy other products, like “battery” for operating remote (belongs to electronics category), “toy bag” for keeping the toy (belongs to bags category), and so on. 

In the StoreHippo ecommerce platform, the products within the same category are shown automatically as the related products. Along with that, you can also specify the related products manually while adding or editing the product. To add the related products, follow the steps given below:

• Go to the “Products” - > “Products” section in the StoreHippo Admin Panel. 
• Proceed to add or edit the product. 
• Click the “MISCELLANEOUS” tab option. 
• In the “Related Products” field, add the related products. 
• After adding the related products, click the “Save” button.

Now, the related products will be added and you can make them visible in the storefront. When any user opens the product page of that product, the related products will be displayed irrespective of their categories.
