How to fix “Image contains an alpha channel” error while building an iOS app in the StoreHippo ecommerce platform?

The StoreHippo ecommerce platform supports .PNG file format. That means, you need to upload splash and icon images in .PNG format. So, if you get this error you cannot upload JPG/JPEG images. Also, in the process of exporting to JPG, then back to PNG is not recommended because JPG is lossy, so you will lose some image data. So, follow the steps mentioned below for removing the alpha channel from your image without compromising with its quality:

• Open the image with the “Preview” app.
• Press Command-Shift-S to duplicate.
• When a copy is created, click Command-S to save.
• Now, deselect the “Alpha” checkbox and save the image.
• When you are done, you can delete the copy.

Once you have removed the alpha channel from the image, you can upload it to the mobile apps section in the admin panel of your e-commerce store.
