Inbuilt functionality

You can add multiple sliders in your store, you have the provision to publish or unpublish the sliders. Only the published sliders will be shown on your store.

However, the support for banners vary from theme to theme, some themes have the support of 4 banners while some have support for 8 banners. For more details, you can refer managing banners.
